Seventeen Smoulder Gel Eyeliner

I'll start by admitting that this was a completely random, impulse purchase. I've been in the market for a new gel liner for a while now. By a while I mean the gel liner that I bought at the beginning of year 12 from Maybelline has been the one I've been using for the past 3 years. It was gross, and crusty and yes, I was putting water in it so that I could use it. But never fear Seventeen is here!
I was in Boots, just browsing, doing 'mah thang' when I came across the Rimmel gel liner, and knowing that I needed a new one I picked it up. Then I saw this, I really liked the packaging and the £3.99 price point is nothing to sniff at. The Rimmel liner went straight back on the shelf! I really, really like the packaging for this liner, sure it's not 'classy' or 'expensive' feeling, but it is much nicer then that of the Maybelline gel liner. It's seamless and smooth. The lid is made of a black, sturdy, shiny plastic, with the Seventeen logo, the name of the product and some lines printed on top in white. This next bit will sound weird, but it feels so nice in your hands, not too weighty, smooth and just right. I really like the base of this liner, I really like it. Also, in the lid is a clear circle of plastic, this is there to grip onto the rim of the clear bottom part, to seal it up so it doesn't dry out! Clever!
The first thing I thought when I opened this was 'damn that looks creamy' (now this post is really starting to feel like it's full of innuendos, it's not on purpose, I promise!), its a smooth, thick black gel. It applies LIKE A FREAKING DREAM! It's so smooth and creamy on the lid and doesn't feel like you have anything on, and has little to no dry-time, meaning no hanging around before heading out the door! They also suggest using this as an eyeshadow base, I think that this could make a really cool shadow base, and it'd definitely hold the shadow on because it's so creamy and non-drying to the lids!
As all gel liners do now, so that they can 'compete' with each other, Seventeen included a mini liner brush. Honestly, I don't really like this brush, for me it's not fine enough. I really love my tiny Lauren Luke angled liner brush, but for me this little brush is a cute, but unnecessary edition to the product. However, I'm sure that people who are short on brushes would really like this mini travel brush, I'd use it as a lip brush instead though.
Altogether, I really, really love this product. It's smooth, creamy and is GREAT for people on the go. Seventeen please make a dark sparkly/metallic purple/any other colour of this liner, because you know I'd buy it! For the price, I think that it'd definitely be worth you checking this out if your in the market for a great multi-tasking liner! (Also please be aware, I'm just getting back into the swing of drawing on liner so bare with me. I haven't used it for half a year!)
