Hi!
So these days we're all busy, whether it be with work and studying, friends, family, parties and events, boyfriends or all of them, it can be very hard to fit everything in to one day and sometimes putting on makeup can be the last thing on your mind.
So I thought I would do a tutorial on how to update the day makeup you've already got on to a more appropriate evening makeup without too much effort involved, so next time you've only got 15 minutes to get ready hopefully it won't be too much of a struggle!
So this is the makeup I had done on Tahlia earlier that day, just a basic foundation and powder on the face, with a light contour over the cheeks.
On the eyes a neutral white colour with a bit of light brown in the crease and some mascara.
Which as you can see has started to wear off a fair bit.
On the lips just a very light pink lip liner blended in to create a neutral, soft pink wash of colour.
EVENING MAKEUP TRANSFORMATION:
First off, I got a took one pump of my Chanel Mat Lumiere Foundation (#20 Clair) onto my acrylic palette and touched up the areas where Tahlia's foundation has worn off, mainly over the cheeks, under the eyes and chin. On oily skinned people it's usually the T-Zone where you'll need to reapply the foundation.
I used a mat foundation for obvious reasons, more staying powder and no additional oil or moisture to the skin.
Add concealer if necessary.
Because when you're rushing you're not really going to have time to do a perfect smoky eye I left Tahlia's eye makeup as it was, but curled her eyelashes and added a little more mascara.
If you do have more time though, add eyeshadow as you feel necessary.
I then added a thin line of black, liquid eyeliner to create a thin winged cat eye look. If you're not used to using liquid eyeliner I would avoid this as it can get messy if you're not well practised.
Instead, maybe add more brown eyeshadow to the crease of your eye to add more depth that you would lack without the eyeliner.
Next step is to grab a dark blusher or bronzer and then quickly dab your powder brush and apply this to the apples of your cheeks.
If you use a lighter colour you may waste time building the colour if it's too light so it's better to choose a dark one so you can get it on your cheeks as quickly as possible when you're rushing!
Now for the final step; Add a bold pop of colour to the lips because this will quickly turn your basic makeup into a more dramatic evening makeup.
Try to choose darker colours such as Reds, Purples and dark Browns.
I used MAC Lipstick in Rebel
Here's the finished product!
Hopefully this was useful for you, although it is a very basic evening makeup hopefully you can see that you don't have to always go out with your makeup as it was, or have to start all over again in a rush.
